Jean Chagnon, PhD, LP, is a licensed psychologist in Minnesota. She provides integrative psychotherapy, and spiritual direction. She has a particular interest in integrative psychotherapy which emphasizes emotional and psychological healing by attending to mind, body and spiritual health, allowing clients to integrate body-based therapies as well as to pay attention to the spiritual aspects of healing within the psychotherapeutic relationship. Dr. Chagnon works with adults and older adolescents. She has a special interest in working with clients in midlife transitions or crisis. She specializes in working with survivors of trauma and violence including: sexual assault, sexual harassment, childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence and childhood physical abuse. She also works extensively with members of the gay, lesbian and bisexual community and their families and friends. Dr. Chagnon is committed to walking with each client as a guide and witness on their healing journey. She works to create a therapeutic process that focuses on helping clients listen to their inner wisdom, reconnect with their passion and honor their soul, instead of looking outward for direction or solutions. She believes that it is in this process of inner listening that lasting healing begins. Dr. Chagnon holds doctoral and masters degrees in Counseling Psychology from Ohio State University, a masters degree in Education, and graduate training in Theology. Before joining CPW, Dr. Chagnon worked for 15 years in Higher Education as an administrator and psychologist.
Robin McLeod, PhD, LP, is a Licensed Psychologist in Minnesota. Her areas of expertise include individual, family and group psychotherapy, psychological assessment with adults and adolescents, and practitioner clinical supervision. She specializes in working with teens and adults who struggle with many mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, terminal illness, complicated grief, chronic pain, autism spectrum disorders, and other disabilities that interfere with daily living. When she works with couples and families, she focuses on improving relationship communication skills so that family members can solve problems more effectively. In her work with adolescents and adults struggling with the social and emotional challenges of autism spectrum disorders, Dr. McLeod helps people identify the ways that this particular way of being in the world is both a strength and a challenge, and then identifies specific skill sets that need to be learned. In addition to her work directly with clients on the autism spectrum, Dr. McLeod works with parents of children, adolescents and young adults as they struggle with the unique challenges of parenting a child with developmental disabilities or chronic mental illness. Dr. McLeod holds doctoral and masters degrees in counseling psychology from the University of Minnesota, and a masters degree in Speech Communication from Central Missouri State University. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Dr. McLeod was a high school English teacher and debate coach. As such, she enjoys speaking in the community on topics ranging from parenting teens in the digital age to succeeding in college with Asperger Syndrome. Connie Meyer, M.A., LP, LICSW,
is a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota. She provides individual therapy to adults and adolescents as well as working with families and couples. Connie's primary area of focus is working with clients with symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress or trauma-related suffering. Her experience includes helping individuals and families address challenges with life transitions such as separation/divorce, difficulties with young adult children launching to independent living, grief and loss and work/life balance. Connie enjoys working with parents who have children with special learning needs including gifted children and those with emotional and physical health challenges. She also helps guide clients and their families through the emotional difficulties arising from physical illness or disability. Connie provides compassionate relationship-based psychotherapy that integrates a range of therapies based on the needs of each individual drawing from her training in clinical psychology, occupational therapy, chemical dependency, hypnosis, mindfulness, and mind/body integration as well as using traditional psychotherapy approaches. Connie believes in building on the resiliency of the human spirit and the possibility of deep healing and transformative change. She holds a masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor of science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Minnesota.
Bonnie Slaughter, M.Ed., LPCC,
is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio, and a Licensed Professoinal Counselor in Wisconsin. She provides counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. She specializes in working with people who are struggling with chronic pain, disability, return-to-work issues, anxiety, depression, stress management and substance abuse. When working with clients, Bonnie is compassionate and caring, while also working in a straightforward and direct manner to help people find solutions to the problems that bring them to counseling. Because she also is fluent in Spanish, Bonnie welcomes Spanish-speaking clients. Bonnie's credentials include a bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Spanish from Miami University and a master's degree in Agency and Community Counseling from Xavier University.
